The Practical Training course in the Electronic Media Department aims to equip students with the essential skills required for digital media specialists and to apply them practically within institutions, organizations, and media entities.
As part of a six-month pre-graduation training initiative—one of the Human Capacity Development Program initiatives aimed at ensuring the efficiency and quality of the training process and preparing graduates for the job market approved by the Council of University Affairs—the Electronic Media Department contributes to enhancing the quality and effectiveness of the training process, improving departmental outcomes, and preparing students to enter the workforce with professionalism, creativity, and excellence.
The practical training in the department lasts six months, from the start to the end of the training at the training organization, with 15 to 25 hours per week, averaging 132 actual training days and 460 training hours.

- Selecting the Training Organization (fill out the form after registering for the course)
- Meeting with the Academic Advisor and receiving the training document
- Starting the training and submitting the training document to the Field Supervisor
- Documenting tasks at the training organization and coordinating with the Academic Supervisor
- Submitting the document to the Academic Supervisor upon completion of the practical training
- Practical Training is a mandatory course and a graduation requirement, counted as 6 credit hours.
- Students must successfully complete Level Seven and 116 credit hours before registering for the Practical Training course.
- Early registration in one of the Practical Training sections must follow the specified schedule, noting that the department is not responsible for any delay in graduation if a student does not register on time.
- Students receive an official training request letter from the department, which must be submitted to the approved training organization to obtain official approval. Training cannot begin before submitting the approval letter to the department within the specified period.
- Changing the training organization is only allowed through an official procedure, with clear reasons explaining why continuation at the original organization is not possible.
- Students must document all practical skills daily and in detail, prepare periodic reports, and submit them to the Academic Supervisor for review, guidance, and evaluation.
- Students must comply with the rules, regulations, and guidelines of the training organization, following its instructions and the guidance of the Field Supervisor.
- Maintain daily attendance in the official Saudi uniform throughout the training period, strictly adhering to the agreed-upon start and end times.
- Use the training organization’s resources responsibly, including buildings, electronic communication tools, information sources, and equipment.
- Communicate effectively in the training environment, cooperate with staff, maintain confidentiality of organizational information and data, and demonstrate politeness and professional behavior.
