The department seeks to localize English language education and reach the widest possible segment of the Kingdom’s male and female citizens across all regions to enhance their language competencies. This contributes to increasing their competitiveness for distinguished job opportunities, developing their skills, or preparing them for admission to local and international universities. To achieve these goals, the department offers specialized programs, starting with the Bachelor’s in English Language and Translation, the Master’s in Translation Technologies, and, recently, the English Language Diploma program, which will be offered entirely through distance learning at the beginning of the new academic year 1443 AH.
